Raffle Debut: Fleet Feet of Sacramento

One of the often unexpected features of the Sacramento Archives Crawl is our always Phat raffle. Beer, food, and other stuff is part of a complement of items donated to the Crawl by extremely kind Sacramento businesses that relate to our theme. This year, sports and leisure led us to a Capital concern that's helped Sacramentans get out and set the pace of their choice since 1976. That's the legendary Fleet Feet, located at 2311 J Street. Simply put, its reputation for being the authority on the custom fitting of running shoes is unsurpassed. The Sacramento Archives Crawl is grateful to Fleet Feet for their support and their contribution of two in-store gift certificates for $25, a sticker, a metallic Elite Fleet Feet tumbler, and a plastic Fleet Feet cup. It could be all yours.

Try your luck at the Crawl raffle (always held at Central Library) on October 5 between 10 am and 4 am and maybe you'll be lucky enough (although is it luck, really?) to win some FF swag and somewhere around half off a sweet pair of running shoes.

Let's Be Active or Leisurely in 2024

The Sacramento Archives Crawl's theme for 2024 (drumroll, please) is Pastimes Preserved: Sports and Leisure in the Archives. Over the coming months, look for content relating to both the theme and the many terrific sponsors who will be stepping up to the plate or just lying back on the Barcalounger to make the crawl the great event that it is.

You can look forward to another fall crawl, taking place on October 5, 2024, from 10 am to 4 pm.
